An oil on board genre painting depicting a young girl playing with a kitten. Signed A. Guillemin lower right. The painting is framed by an ornate gilded frame. Additionally bears a paper label on the back side titled Playtime, Painted by A. Guillemin. Alexandre-Marie Guillemin, 1817 to 1880 was a French genre painter. He studied under Antoine-Jean Gros and in 1861 he was awarded the Legion of Honour. Provenance: Estate of Eric Jansson, Roswell, Georgia. Antique Paintings And European Fine Art Collectibles.
