Gouache on cardboard painting by Sam Savitt. The artwork represents a cowboy on horseback against a yellow background. Signed by the artist and dated 1955 in the lower left. Sam Savitt, 1917 to 2000, was an American author and illustrator who specialized in depiction of horses. He was the founder of the American Academy of Equine Art.
