An antique 19th-century gilt silver grogger, a Jewish ratchet used in the synagogue during the celebration of Purim. Presumably from Bukhara, Uzbekistan. The item is decorated with red, green and turquoise enamel cabochons. A relief depicting Esther on horseback and inscription in Hebrew are set on the sides of the item. Weight: 385 grams.
