Description

A gold-encrusted bronze writing set by Silver Crest. Ca. 1930s. The set includes a pen stand, an inkwell with hinged lid, a letter stand, and a holder for papers. Relief Art Deco ornamental design. The pieces are marked Silver Crest, Gold Encrusted Bronze, SMA Co on the bottom, serial number 2202 and 2203. Silver Crest was a trademark of the Smith Metal Arts Company, Buffalo, NY, active from 1919 to 1986. Collectible Cabinet Decor, Luxury Desk Accessories, Writing Instruments.
