A large antique Japanese architectural element carved with openwork details and depicting two dragons, large and small, resting on waves among scrolled clouds. The large three-clawed dragon has a spiky spine and mane with red painted flames and a crystal-inlaid eye painted in red, white, black, and gold. Presumably late Edo period, circa 1860s.
