Fernando Botero, 1932 to 2023, a black patinated bronze sculpture depicting an iconic cat figurine with voluminous features. An identical artwork titled Gato, Cat, was installed in the streets of Barcelona in 1987. Note: Fernando Botero Angulo was a Colombian figurative artist and sculptor. His signature style, also known as Boterismo, depicts people and figures in large, exaggerated volumes, which can represent political criticism or humor, depending on the piece. He is considered the most recognized and quoted living artist from Latin America, and his art can be found in highly visible places around the world.
