Description

An Imperial Russian brass samovar converted into a lamp with modern electrical fittings. Ca. 1910s. Etched hallmark with medals on the front, M.A. Zubov Tula. Wooden side handles. Two light sockets on top. A samovar is a traditional Russian metal container for boiling water. The Zubov factory based in Tula, Russia, functioned from 1899 to 1917.
