An antique Polish Karabela sword featuring an ornate brass grip and cross guard and a curved steel blade with a pronounced edge called yelmen. The karabela type saber was used by Polish and Lithuanian nobility and famous winged hussars from the 17th to late 19th century. Circa the early 19th century.
