An antique Tzedakah box, originating from Syria. This brass box is intricately inlaid with silver and copper, featuring detailed decorations. The sides are adorned with Menorahs, the top with fish designs, and the cover with a Maguen David. Inscribed in Hebrew is the phrase: Tzedakah, on the day of the judgment day the money is worthless and ineffective. Charity will save you from death. Circa the early 20th century.
